Dr. LoRusso’s Medical Training

Diane C. LoRusso, MD graduated Cum Laude from New York University with additional honors in mathematics. She was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society. She graduated from SUNY Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, Cum Laude, where she was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, and received the Roche Scholastic Award for top scholastic achievement in her graduating class. Dr. LoRusso was Chief Resident in diagnostic radiology at Albert Einstein College of Medicine and was an attending radiologist there for one and a half years following her residency. Diane C. LoRusso, MD, currently holds a clinical appointment at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

 

Dr. LoRusso’s Medical Experience

Dr. LoRusso has a special interest in mammography and breast cancer detection. She has been the New York State Breast Cancer Spokesperson for the American Cancer Society, is a former director of the Westchester American Cancer Society and has been chairperson of the American Cancer Society Westchester Division Breast Cancer Task Force. She has spoken on national television, on radio talk shows and to women’s groups about the importance of mammography screening. Dr. LoRusso has been named by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., as one of the “Top Doctors” consecutively from 2001 to 2017. Dr. LoRusso has been included in the New York Magazine publication of the region’s “Best Doctors” from 2001 to 2007 and 2015 to 2017 and in Westchester Magazine’s publication from 2006 to 2017.

Dr. LoRusso became board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 1974, and is a member of the American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, Society of Breast Imaging, Metropolitan Breast Group and Westchester County Medical Society.

Gail A. Calamari, MD

Dr. Gail Calamari’s Medical Training

She graduated Cum Laude from Cornell University College of Arts and Science with distinction in all subjects. She obtained her medical degree from Cornell University Medical College and was elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society. She received the award for Academic Achievement in medical school. Dr. Calamari completed an internal medicine internship at Greenwich Hospital and then completed residency training in diagnostic radiology at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center. After completing a fellowship in neuroradiology at North Shore Hospital-Cornell University Medical Center, she was elected as senior member of the American Society of Neuroradiology.

 

Dr. Gail Calamari’s Medical Experience

Dr. Gail Calamari joined Rye Radiology Associates, LLP in 1993.
Dr. Calamari currently holds a clinical appointment at Weill Medical College of Cornell University.

The Guide to America’s Top Doctors named Dr. Calamari one of “America’s Top Radiologists.” from 2006 to 2011.  Dr.Calamari has also been named  one of the “Top Doctors” in Westchester Magazine’s 2015 and 2016 publication.

Dr. Calamari became board certified by the American Board of Radiology in June 1991. She holds memberships with the American Roentgen Ray Society, Society of Breast Imaging, Metropolitan Breast Group, American College of Radiology, American Medical Association and Radiological Society of North America.

Dr. Staeger-Hirsch’s Medical Training

Dr. Christine Staeger-Hirsch graduated Magna Cum Laude from Binghamton University. Dr. Staeger-Hirsch was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Eta Sigma National Honor Society, Phi Sigma Iota International Foreign Language Honor Society and the Golden Key National Honor Society. She graduated from NYU School of Medicine, where she received NYU School of Medicine Scholarships, Swiss Benevolent Society Scholarships and the Sonia Streuli Outstanding Scholarship Grant. Dr. Staeger-Hirsch also participated in the Honors Program in Research.

Dr. Christine  Staeger-Hirsch completed an internship at New York Hospital at Queens and completed diagnostic radiology residency training at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center. She completed a fellowship in Women’s Imaging at New York University Medical Center, where Dr. Staeger-Hirsch received intensive training in all aspects of breast imaging, including breast MRI as well as additional training in body imaging.

 

Dr. Staeger-Hirsch’s Medical Experience

Dr. Christine Staeger-Hirsch joined Rye Radiology Associates, LLP in 2007.

She became board certified by the American Board of Radiology in June 2006. She holds memberships with the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America, the American Roentgen Ray Society and the New York Roentgen Ray Society. Dr. Staeger-Hirsch has presented at the American Roentgen Ray Society annual meeting and has been published in the American Journal of Radiology. She has been named by Castle Connolly Medical Ltd., as one of the “Top Doctors” consecutively from 2012 to 2016. She has also been named  one of the “Best Doctors” in Westchester Magazine’s 2015 and 2016 publication.

Her specialty is in Women’s Imaging and Breast MRI.

Sejal Amin, MD

Dr. Sejal Amin  is fellowship trained in Women’s Imaging and specializes in breast imaging and interventional breast procedures, as well as body imaging.

 

Dr. Sejal Amin’s Medical Training

Dr. Amin graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She was awarded a research fellowship at the National Cancer Institute at NIH and has been published in the Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences and Journal of Biological Chemistry. Dr. Amin obtained her medical degree from University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her residency training in diagnostic radiology at Georgetown University Hospital, followed by a fellowship in women’s imaging with emphasis on breast imaging and breast interventions, inclusive of breast MRIs and MRI-guided procedures.

 

Dr. Sejal Amin’s Medical Experience

Dr. Amin was board certified by the American Board of Radiology in 2011. She is a member of the American Roentgen Ray Society, the Society of Breast Imaging, and The New York Metropolitan Breast Cancer Group. She has been published in Abdominal Imaging and has been a clinical investigator in breast cancer imaging trials. She has also participated in medical student education during residency/fellowship during her private practice.

Dr. Sejal Amin joined Rye Radiology Associates, LLP in 2015. Prior to joining Rye Radiology, Dr. Amin was at a private practice in Northern Virginia.
