New Low-Dose Multi-Slice CT at Rye Radiology

Rye Radiology has a newly installed, American College of Radiology accredited CT scan. The new technology offers an excellent combination of clinical excellence with the design benefits of increased capabilities for early detection while concurrently ensuring that patients will receive less radiation. The new CT scan produces crisp, clear detailed images of the body in just seconds and the redesigned CT suite was planned with patient comfort a priority. Rye Radiology now performs CT angiography of the pulmonary, brain, neck, aorta, mesenteric, carotid and renal arteries, STEALTH sinus studies, as well as CT venography and routine CT studies such as abdomen, pelvis and chest. Their web based PACS system allows referring doctors to securely view their patients’ studies and reports from their own computer.

Rye Radiology is best known for expert digital mammography breast cancer screening and diagnostic exams, breast ultrasound, needle localization, breast ultrasound core, fine needle aspiration, stereotactic breast biopsy and MRI guided biopsy.

Although state of the art equipment is important, the skill and experience of the physician interpreting the images is even more critical. Rye Radiology has, in addition to state of the art equipment, Dr. Diane LoRusso, co-founder of Rye Radiology Associates, LLP and Dr. Gail Calamari, partner and neuroradiologist, who have more than 50 years of combined experience interpreting mammography, breast ultrasound and breast biopsies with image guidance, specializing in high risk patients.

Rye Radiology’s doctors also perform general diagnostic imaging exams including neurological, orthopedic, abdominal, vascular MRI’s, general ultrasound, CAT scans and bone density exams.
